Euro-MP wishes Hull volunteers well

Diana Wallis MEP waved goodbye to a number of volunteers and staff from the Avocet Trust in Hull as they departed for a fundraising outward-bound weekend to raise cash for a motor-home today.

The Avocet Trust was formed to support the former residents of Tilworth Grange Hospital. The motor-home will cost approximately £60,000 and volunteers have already raised £20,000 towards the project. Another £8,000 will be raised from this weekend.

"This year is the European Year of Disability, so it is a great time to be raising money and awareness." Diana said.
