Liberal Democrat MEP reselected top of the list

Diana Wallis, the sitting Liberal Democrat Member of the European Parliament for Yorkshire and the Humber, has been selected by party members to lead her party's list in next year's European Parliamentary elections.
She easily beat off the challenge of seven others in gaining three-quarters of the vote in the poll of party members. After the announcement of the result, Diana Wallis said, "I am delighted by the endorsement that this result suggests and it is a great honour to be leading the Liberal Democrat campaign in the region in the run-up to the European elections next year."
