Diana Wallis MEP visits Heckmondwike as Lib Dems battle to keep out BNP

Diana Wallis, Euro MP for Yorkshire and the Humber, was in Heckmondwike over the weekend to support the campaign of Tabasum Aslam, the Liberal Democrats candidate in the Kirklees MBC by-election to be held on Thursday.

Diana Wallis MEP said, "This is another local council byelection which the BNP is targetting strongly. The Liberal Democrats have a good recent record against the BNP and we are the only party in Heckmondwike which can keep the BNP out. However there can be no complacency especially as the BNP is shipping in people from all over."
