Diana Wallis MEP with Colin Hotham, Chairman of the Parish Council, at the grand opening of Swanland Village Hall
After many years of false starts, the village of Swanland finally has a new Village Hall. Local resident Diana Wallis MEP was at the official grand opening on Saturday 22nd January.
Diana, who as an East Riding Councillor in the 1990s helped to negotiate the transfer of the old school from the East Riding Council to Swanland Parish Council said, "The village has shown a terrific sense of community in getting the hall built and I have no doubt it will be a tremendous amenity for everybody in the village."
