Response to John Reid's announcement on Bulgarians' and Romanians' right to work in the UK

Local Liberal Democrat Euro MP, Diana Wallis, has responded to John Reid's announcement of limits on Bulgarians' and Romanians' right to work in the UK, saying:
"This looks like a very complex formula which will be set to create a nightmare of bureaucracy to enable it to be enforced. It will further burden the already overstretched Home Office."
Speaking in Strasbourg, Diana Wallis MEP, who is the Leader of the Liberal Democrats in the European Parliament, went on to say:
"Whilst there may be fears about unlimited migration from Romania and Bulgaria, the starting point has to be freedom of movement for all EU citizens across the whole of the European Union.
For instance only today, I had a letter from a Yorkshire couple living and working in Bulgaria, seeking my assistance - we should realise that these things cut both ways."
