Three years after her first visit, Diana Wallis MEP visited Hudson House in Reeth on Saturday.
Hudson House is the former home of the village's Barclays Bank but three years ago was turned into in a community facility including North Yorkshire Police and a computer suite. It also houses the Yorkshire Dales National Park Centre and a Tourist Information Centre amongst others.
Diana Wallis who first visited Hudson House in 2003 said:
"This is a fantastic facility. I am pleased to see how well used it has become by the local community in the 2 dales.
"Hudson House has become a case study for many local communities on how a local community can take a redundant building and turn it into something which acts as an information and resource centre at so many levels."
