Diana meeting members of the 'Women's Enterprise in the Humber' project
Local Liberal Democrat Euro MP, Diana Wallis, spoke at three different events in Hull and the East Riding on Friday 7 December.
In the morning Diana spoke to the 'Women's Enterprise in the Humber' project at the Hotel Elizabeth on Ferriby High Road, North Ferriby.
The Women's Enterprise in the Humber project is part funded by EU monies and was set up to assist women going into business. As well talking about her own career, Diana spoke about the EU's support for women entrepreneurs. www.women-entrepreneurs.co.uk
In the afternoon Diana was a panellist at the University of Hull Politics Department Annual 6th Form Conference. This was a day long conference for teachers and A/AS level students of General Studies, History and Politics. She answered questions around the subject of 'Britain under Brown' and drew a rapturous round of applause from the audience for her postive backing for the EU after fellow panellist Austin Mitchell MP's rather mealy-mouthed attack on it .
In the evening on the same day, Diana was the guest speaker at the Hull Community Network Graduate Group Meeting where she talked about how the EU interacts with the voluntary sector.
