Robert Adamson
Born: 8 August 1949 in Doncaster
Educated: St Luke’s College Exeter & Lancaster University

Family: Robert has 2 adult daughters from his first marriage.
Robert Adamson is a former Civil Servant and Carer. He trained Fire Service Officers, Civil Service Managers and Managers from Local Authorities and the Emergency Services.
Robert lives with his partner Eileen whom he met in 2000. He tries to prove that people with disabilities can have an active and influential role in society. He has an understandable interest in disability issues, particularly MS, as an ex-carer and also having the disease himself.
Politically, Robert is number 4 out of 6 on the list of Yorkshire & Humber Lib Dem candidates for the European elections in June. In the 2001 General Election he was the Liberal Democrat candidate against Alan Milburn in Darlington. Robert has been a candidate for local authority elections in North Yorkshire.
Within the Party he has been Chair of the Liberal Democrat Yorkshire & Humber Region and has worked on various national committees & working groups, currently he is a member of the Party’s “Federal Policy Committee” which co-ordinates Lib Dem national policies.
